A Boxster-style engine is a flat horizontally opposed engine typically identified as a “boxer” engine. The motor gets its name because each pair of pistons pump simultaneously, much like a boxer throws punches instead of moving alternately, as in conventional power plants. Ang’s quip on SMC delisting stirs stock market

MANILA, Philippines – Diversified conglomerate San Miguel Corp. (SMC) caused a stir on Thursday after its President and Chief Operating Officer Ramon S. Ang revealed—then subsequently retracted – a potential plan to delist from the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE).

Bloomberg News interviewed Ang at the SMC headquarters on Wednesday and reported it on its terminal at about 10:30 a.m. on Thursday or before Philippine markets closed. Shanghai Stocks Fall as Slowing Output Growth Deepens Concerns on Economy

China’s stocks fell, dragging the benchmark index to a second weekly decline, as slowing industrial output growth overshadowed a report showing inflation eased from a three-year high.

Anhui Conch Cement Co., the biggest cement producer, slid to the lowest since January after industrial output rose 13.5 percent in August, compared with economists’ estimate of 13.7 percent.
